A day walking in Glencoe, bagging another two Munros on Buachaille Etive Beag

We were fortunate enough to have a day in Glencoe and what a spectacular place, even with the clouds down! We set off from Edinburgh at 7am to catch an early start climbing Buachaille Etive Beag, munros Stob Dubh 958m/3143ft and Stob Corie Raineach 925m/3035ft. En route I managed to stop and get a couple of photos of the still Loch Lubnaig, only a short drive outside Callander, but worth the stop if you have the time.

When approaching Glencoe and see Buachaille Etive Beag, its easy to see why this very location was used as a driving scene in one of the recent James Bond Movies Skyfall, truly stunning!

It’s a fairly short walk compared to some of this years hikes and great to manage two munros in the one day. There is also the reward of going along the amazing ridge towards the view of Glen Etive and Loch Etive.

Summed up in one, another great day out in Scotland!
